Kona @Poly VS. Starbucks

How's the Kona coffee @ Poly? This may be a silly question but I can't drink just any coffee. How does it compare to Starbucks? This is a big detail for DH and myself. Thanks!

It was definitely much, much better than most other hotels in which I have stayed. I was really glad to have the Kona Bar available.

However, having said that, I would not put it in the same class as Starbucks.

We went to the Kona Cafe at the Poly just to have some "good" coffee. A little background here.........we are major coffee snobs, drink mainly Starbucks dark roast coffee and almost always use a french press for brewing. The food was much better than we had hoped for at the Kona Cafe but the coffee even in the french press was mediocre IMHO. We would love to see Disney put a few well-placed Starbucks at their resorts. In the meantime we travel with a grinder, french press and water boiler. Yes, we are nuts ...........And I totally understand where you are coming from about this. Neither DH or I drink and for us our coffee time is what a cocktail would be for others.
