Kona or the Wave?

Hey everyone:

I am trying to decide which restaurant to go to our first night. We usually hit Kona and then take a Monorail ride, but I am wondering if anyone has opinions about The Wave. We will have our kids with us (17, 9 and 6) and are planning on going to Narcoose's another night (without the little ones).

We are gluten-intolerant, but are still foodies.

Any opinions would be welcome!

I have been to Kona and love it but never have been to the Wave. I think i am chicken to try it out until it gets better reviews.

Back in March we had dinner ressies for Kona which I cancelled and booked the Wave instead...man we were both so happy I made the change...the Wave was incredible, more like a 2TS place than a 1 TS place. The restaurant was very relaxing and quiet, the service was A+++ and the food, oh man the food was outstanding. I have a ton of pics in my March link.

Personally I think Kona dinner is a bit overrated....the only thing I liked was the bread and butter and the wings...

We thought Wave was great. Definately better than Kona.

Been to both like both but if I had to choose 1 it would be the Wave

I love Kona Cafe, we have had several wonderful meals there.

Another thumbs up for the wave. Great filet, awesome desserts. I think it is the best 1 TS restaurant on property.

We ate at both the Wave and Kona in early May. When we return in December we will only be making ressies at the Wave.

I'm so glad I found this thread. I was trying to decide between Kona and the Wave (and Cali Grill) earlier today, and I just picked Kona because I had heard good things about it and haven't heard much about the Wave. I think I'll try to change that ADR tomorrow morning! After reading your reviews, I rechecked the menu and think it looks great!
