Kona for Kids??

How is Kona for kids? I know that it is not a character meal or anything but we can't get an ADR for Ohanas and I am looking for a good "meal" that is not a buffet. We only have a week until we go and I have one night I need a dinner ressie for. Any thoughts? Or any other thoughts for another restaurant we may be able to get ADRs at for a reasonably early dinner at this late date? My kids are 5 and 3 1/2 do doing a late dinner isn't reasonable for us.

We ate there with our kids ages 4 and 7 last April. We loved it. Our adult meals were great. It was your basic kids menu. They have an awsome kids ice cream cone dessert in a waffle cone that is standing up on a plate with a mickey chocolate on top and cotton candy and m&ms around the bottom. Its enogh for 2 but of couse they each wanted their own! We are planning on a trip next April and will definately go back. It was probably the best meal of our trip!

We really love this restaurant. Have been eating here for many years. The nice part about it is that you can have a nice adult meal with good food, but the atmosphere is still kid friendly. The kids love the ice cream cone and they have wonderful adult desserts also. We make this one of our must do stops each year.

Here's my DD6 (non-edited)-"We love Kona. It's excellent. Have your kids try the sticky wings (appetizer) I think they might want more if you give them one! Don't be surprised but if it rains, don't bring an umbrella-there's one in your drink! Just kidding-it's too small."

Mom here- we really like Kona and have had great meals there the last 3 trips-twice on 1 trip! 2 on Dining Plan, 1 without. We actually didn't care for the main food at O'hanas. It was overcooked. The starters were good, but they've changed since we were there.

The kids dessert is pretty amazing-an ice cream cone on a sea of blue cotton candy! My DD didn't eat much but it sure looked cool! (she's a small eater anyway).

We plan on going in Sept. and DD will have the sticky wing appetizers for dinner. Hope she shares!

My kids (5, 7 and 8) LOVE Kona's. It's definitely a "must do" every summer trip. The kids split an appetizer of the sticky wings (we ask for it without the drizzled mustard), have a kids meal and they always want the Kiddie kone. What kid wouldn't want a dessert that was and ice cream sundae, cotton candy and m&ms?

Kona's is my 7 y/o DD's favorite place to eat. We have eaten there at least twice each trip. She cannot leave the table til she gets the giant ice cream cone surrounded by the cotton candy cloud!

DS loved it - especially the sticky wings and the kiddie kone:

It's chocolate and vanilla ice cream, tons of M&M's, chocolate Mickey swizzle stick, and a big cloud of cotton candy. Our server called it "every parent's nightmare dessert...sugar, sugar, sugar!!"

It was DS's favorite food of the whole trip.
