We love Kona! We always make a point each trip to go to the Poly and eat breakfast at Kona at least once each trip. I always have the ham and cheese omlet. I noticed you're from Alabama. We are too, so here's a tip you might be interested in. They have grits even though they aren't on the menu. They're pretty yummy ones too. We always sub them for the potatoes that come with many of the meals.
DH and I had breakfast there twice in Sept. and they were both great. The mac. nut/pineapple pancakes are great and DH had the pork hash/poached egg thing the second day and it was really good too. Didn't try the tonga toast though, it just sounded to sweet for us. There is also a platter that you get all of it (except the tonga). They are very reasonably priced also.
Its a great place, really nice and peaceful and good food. Most people seem to love the tonga toast though I find that too greasy - the macadamia pancakes are the way to go! Loads of piccies in my reviews if you want to see them
I always find it REALLY cold in Kona for some reason, so take a sweater!!!!
