I'd like to get my parents a french press and some of Kona's coffee for their room in a couple of weeks. Do you know if they sell a set with the Kona cups anywhere? I'll be there a day before them, so I can run and get it and have it sent in with all they other stuff I have for them. (It's their first trip, and I really want them to feel the magic!) :cutie:

Thank you!!

Kona Coffee is sold at the little coffee stand next to Kona. But I haven't seen a coffee press for sale. That would be a great idea though, wouldn't it?

There are usually Polynesian mugs for sale at the gift shop on the first floor. They're not the same as Kona's which if memory serves are just plain black ones like those in the rooms.

Hope all of you have a wonderful family trip!:goodvibes

I would not do the french press in the room. the coffee will not be hot.
to use a french press the water needs to be boiling then taken off the stove let the boil stop and then poor water into press. press coffee slowly down let it set for 4-5 minutes then drink. but some nice kona coffee would be nice for them.:surfweb:

Thanks so much you guys! I have a french press here at home and both my parents and I have instant warmers that we take with us on our travels. (we're big coffee and tea people, and they work wonders for instant soups etc. - for 15$ or so at Wal-mart it saves us countless $$$ on trips)

I guess I may pick up a french press before we go, then get the coffee and the cups (if they're even that neat) at the Poly. If they're just the same thing that's in the rooms, I'll just pass.

I appreciate it! Have a great day! :flower3: :upsidedow :flower3: :upsidedow

The mugs for sale in the gift shop are not the same as those in the rooms. We haven't been since May so I'm not sure of the current design....it's varied over the years. They do make neat souvenirs. I'm drinking my tea this am from an AKL mug.:surfweb:

Have fun!:goodvibes
