Kona Cafe ?

We're making a daytrip to WDW (from Vero Beach) to go to the MNSSHP and wanting to have a meal around 2:30 before heading over to the MK. We've never eaten at the Kona Cafe and a friend told me it was her favorite place to eat, so we thought we'd try it. Anyone know if they are opened continuosly through the day or if they close between lunch and supper? I think 2:30 is a bad time to eat, but we'd like to have a substantial meal prior to entering the park so that we don't waste much of our precious time eating.

I know they do close between breakfast and lunch, so I'm betting they close between lunch and dinner, too.

I think 2:30 would be a fine time, though. You would have missed the lunch rush.

On the menus thread at the top of this page, I saw that Kona is open for lunch from 12 to 3.

As noted above, yes, they do close between lunch and dinner. We wanted to dine here for a late lunch last year before MVMCP and I think the latest they would book was 2:45.

We had our lunch, had a drink at the Tambu lounge, took the monorail around to check out holiday decorations at the other hotels, then headed to the party. It worked out great!

Kona Cafe is an excellent restaurant inside the Polynesian Resort. Yum!!
