I made these for the 4th of July and they came out great! I used the recipe that I posted here in another thread.

I highly recommend this recipe. It was the first time I made them and it was super easy. The recipe is a little bit convoluted. Obviously not intended for the home cook but once you work out the order it's a snap. You poach/simmer the wings first. While that's going on you make the sticky sauce. I did both of those steps early in the day (took a total from start to finish about 30 minutes, but you don't have to stand over them) and set them in the refridgerator until I was ready to finish them. Then, you fry the wings until they are crispy and toss them in some of the sticky sauce. That part only took me a few minutes. I used my deep fryer and did them in batches.

I love these! A hint- DH and I were delighted with the taste after the poaching (before frying and the sauce). I cooled the wings, lay them on a cookie sheet and froze them. After frozen I put them in a gallon freezer bag and stored them. As needed, I would pull out some and bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Less work, less calories and a good taste!

Does anyone know if the MK fireworks can be seen from Kona ???
