Kona Cafe or Crystal Palace?

On our last of 6 days we are planning to do a sit down breakfast. It's just me and my husband, so I don't care about the characters.

Right now we have bother Kona Cafe and Crystal Palace booked for that morning. There are pros to both. Kona is probably a better breakfast(I don't know this for fact though) but CP is in MK and it gets us through the rope drop at decent time.
But We aren't too far being at Kona.
Also being the last day we may not even want to go to MK, we may decide we have unfinished business elsewhere.

We are staying at WL.

With this erratic information which would you choose?

If you don't want characters, then definitely go with Kona.

Tonga Toast and the a pot of the pressed coffee is the best at WDW.

For much better food go Kona

For characters and getting into park early go CP

i would say kona in a heartbeat, especially if you are not sure you want to go to MK that day anyway. if you decide you want to go to MK, then like you said, you are right there. Kona has really good food (tonga toast and Macadamia Pineapple Pancakes) ;)

Food vs. Food - Kona.:)

The only reason I would choose breakfast at CP over Kona is if it were for the characters. Even then I might suggest meeting Pooh and his friends elsewhere and hitting Kona for their coffee and Tonga Toast. :cloud9:

Personally, I find both buffets and character meals repellent, making the Crystal Palace doubly repellent. I'd pick the Kona Café just for that reason. But considering your proximity to the Magic Kingdom and the monorail resorts, I have to ask: have you considered the Grand Floridian Café? They do a really wonderful breakfast menu and I think it would be a great way to kick off your last day in the World.

Even though we're going to both, I would choose Kona. The food is really yummy and you can stroll the Poly if you want to afterward. If getting into the park early is important to you, then perhaps you can change the timing of your ADR. If that isn't possible, then go with CP.

Kona, no question.

Easier getting in and out, a much more interesting menu, a more low-key environment. CP would only be the top choice if you decide that being in MK for rope drop is your priority.

Got to agree with the suggestions for Kona. There's really no comparison.

Kona!

Food is better, plus I think its nice to be waited on and have everything brought to you instead of fighting the buffets (I love buffets, but not all the time). And if you end up going to MK, you have a boat or monorail to get you there rather quickly!

KONA by far is the better breakfast (or dinner) :surfweb:

Kona has now become a must for us. It is one of only a few must go to places on our vacations. Best Pancakes ever (really did not think I would like them the first time so I asked for the Macadamia and Pinapples on the side) Not any more. Love this place and great service.
