Is the Kona Cafe a good place to relax and enjoy a tastey/mid-priced meal? What's the food like? I can read the menu, but I'm wondering if it's spicey, exotic, bland, etc... I've a wife and daughter with picky tastes in food. About how long does it take to get from MK to Polynesian/Kona?

I'd loooove to see pics if you've got them.

It's a quick trip to the Poly from MK. The monorail will go to Contemporary then TTC and on to Poly, maybe 10 minutes. The food has always been good when we've eatten there and we keep going back. It's a great place to get away from MK and enjoy some good food. The desserts are really worth trying... :)

The food at Kona has been very good the 2 times I've eaten there. I've had steak and the chicken dish and both were great. It is a very nice getaway from MK.
As far as how long it will take to get there will depend on if you have to wait for a monorail. The longest you'll have to wait is probably 10 minutes. Then your trip to the resort is about 10 to 15 minutes. You could also take the boat to the resort and be there in about 10 minutes once it leaves MK.

It's a great place to pop over for an "adult beverage" and a great meal. We always do an early dinner there and then head back over to MK for more fun.
