I have an ADR for Kona Cafe and have never been before. The fish tacos sound interesting. I would like to hear your opinions on their food. What should I order? What should I stay away from? Also, are you able to get the sticky wings for 2 as an appetizer if you are on the DxDP? Thanks!

I love their strip steak w/pineapple glaze...it's the only entree I've ordered from them. I always get the chocolate fondue for dessert. It's one of my favorite WDW meals. I'm drooling just thinking about it.

The crab cakes are excellent!!!
I had the steak which I don't see on the menu anymore. It was super! It was served with wilted spinach.
Had the Kona cone for dessert. I was ok I really ordered it more for my son. It was a fun dessert for sure.

We are going back in Sept and Kona is on my list for dinner and breakfast!

The sticky wings are SO GOOD!! Also, we went for lunch last trip and it was the best burger I've ever had. The Kona Kone for desert is so fun and yum!

Their sushi is good, very interesting in the way they incorporate island touches into otherwise fairly standard rolls. And I LOVE the tuna oscar.

My faves at Kona are potstickers, sticky wings, and the fish tacos!

I realllly loved the teriyaki steak with sticky rice. Not sure if that is actually what it is called. I got the kilauea torte which was fabulous!

We love breakfast there too!

I always get the crab cake appetizer as my meal, and the chocolate fondue for dessert. The bread alone brings us back each time! Yum!

Kona is a must do for us every trip. Our favorites are:

Tuna Oscar:love:
Teriyaki Steak:thumbsup2
sushi :goodvibes
sticky wings:goodvibes

...as a bonus, we love the bread and macadamia nut butter!

I've kicked off the last three trips with lunch at Kona so I could have the bbq taco - so good! (And yes, I've got the ADR in for the next trip, too!)

Well I would go there for the bread and butter alone. :rolleyes1

But I also love Teriyaki-style New York Strip - sirloin strip grilled with pineapple teriyaki glaze served with mashed Yukon gold potatoes and stir-fried broccolini. :lovestruc ( I could live without the broccolini - little too green for me;) )

And the Banana-Chocolate Creme Brulee - with a chocolate spiral - :lovestruc:lovestruc

I love the pomegranate pork chop! The crab cakes & pot stickers are really good too!

Anyone eaten here recently? We always have the teriyaki steak but ive just been looking over the menus on the dis and the steak has gone!

Hope it is becuase we plan on ordering it in a couple weeks!

I see it still on the menu on All Ears which was updated last month. :goodvibes

My favorite entree is the Tuna Oscar. The tuna can be just slightly overcooked for my standards (I like my tuna really rare), so for next time I know to request it. The fried green tomatoes and the tempura bits are amazing!

We have an ADR here for the 1st time this May. We're really looking forward to it!!

If you pull up the menu off the WDW dining site, it still lists it. Only difference I notice is on Allears, it list yukon gold mashed potatoes and on the actual WDW menu, it shows sticky rice.

I just made reservations there the other day and plan on subbing potatoes for rice if possible. :goodvibes

We stayed at the Poly last weekend and Kona was great! I really enjoyed the pork tacos at Kona (among my favorite meals of the trip, as far as food quality) and the carry-out sushi from the sushi bar (another favorite.) I heard the wings and potstickers are the same as the ones they serve at Ohana and if that's the case, I would definitely recommend them also.

And in response to the previous poster's question, the teriyaki steak was still on the lunch menu a week ago!
