Hi: Going to Kona for dinner, dd does not like anything on the dinner menu but likes the things on the lunch menue. Can she order off the lunch menu at dinner?

Deb.

Unfortunately almost every Disney resturant will not allow you to order off a different menu like this. This is because between lunch and dinner all the food is changed around and usually the majority of items are put away for the next days service. Sometimes you can get lucky and they have the ability to do this but it is very rare due to the way the kitchens work. Occassionally they may still have a few items out if lunch service has just finished, for example when I worked in the Rose & Crown I managed to get a entree salad for a woman that came in just after lunch had finished because there was one made up in the fridge in the kitchen that had yet to be thrown away but it was the only time I've done this.

Thanks Sarah: I want to try Kona but I don't think there is anything on the menu that my daughter will eat. She said she would eat the turkey sandwich on the lunch menu. We will have to figure it out. By the way she LOVES the Rose and Crown.

Why don't you try and call or stop by Kona and ask? I know that some restaurants do allow you to order off of the lunch menu; sci fi dine in come immediately to mind

Has she looked on the kids menu? There might be something on there she would eat and that maybe an option. I've order off kids menus before when dining with other people when I haven't liked the menu options (and Im almost 28 so never been stopped either). Or what about a couple of appertisers or sides instead of a meal? Might give you an option rather than non of you being able to eat there.

Being a fussy eater I have to admit there was little I liked on the R&C menu but their mushroom medley still tempts me every visit and their chips are to die for. Feel quite sad going to a British resturant when Im on holiday in another country but it cant be helped.

Hi Sarah: She is near your age 29. I did not know that they would let her do that, but we will have a look. She also suffers from severe migraine headaches and has alot of food allergies, so that might be an option. The other thing at Rose and Crown she loved was the leek soup. We were last there in Dec. 2005. Everyone was so nice there.

you could always do a small afternoon meal then go the R&C and have appertisers and desserts that way it would mean you can drag the meal out more and get to stay for the fireworks. Always a good option and I've done this before
