Has anyone had dinner at Kona Cafe???

I have all my ADR's in place and I'm kinda torn. We are staying at the Polynesian and have plans to visit MK. We have an ADR for Crystal Palace in the morning, then we figured we might try BOG for lunch (we have a dinner ressie later in the week :) ) or just grab lunch at another CS restaurant. I have a 6:30 Kona Cafe reservation for dinner that night that I'm not sure I should keep or not. Yes, It's convenient since we are staying at the Polynesian, and initially thought it was a good idea since we have a long day at the park and we can relax after till fireworks from the beach. I also have reservations at Kona the next morning for breakfast so I'm now re-thinking a change of scenery might be good for dinner & try something different.

Our Disney dinner reservations for the length of our trip include:
O'hana
Be Our Guest
T-Rex
Raglan Road
Le Hacienda de San Angel

We have done breakfast and dinner at Kona Cafe. Both were awesome! I still prefer breakfast just because of the Tonga Toast and Macadamia Nut Pancakes and the juice. We are actually doing breakfast again in a few weeks!

Dinner was good! We were there for at least an hour or so and then caught the fireworks outside. We love the Poly so we always visit there each trip!

You won't go wrong with either of your ADR's there!

We have dinner at Kona at least once every trip. It's one of our favorites and we've never had a bad meal there. DH and I love the teriyaki steak and our girls love the coconut crusted chicken and pot stickers. The bread and macadamia nut butter that they serve before dinner are DELICIOUS and service has always been prompt and attentive. It's one of the few restaurants at WDW that I can recommend without hesitation.

We had an ADR at Kona during our last trip and I wasn't all that excited about it but it turned out to be fabulous! Definitely give it a try. I got the noodle bowl and it was delicious.

ETA: I don't know if you are on the dining plan, but they have a fixed price menu that you can use with the regular DDP, so it's like getting a free app!

You will not be disappointed if you keep your dinner reservation. Love, Love, Love Kona!

Thank you all! From your descriptions of the food itself, it sounds like we'd be missing out if we cancelled our Kona dinner.

"Kona Cafe" bfast best meal (along with "Sanaa") that we had on this trip !!! We will be going every trip from now on !!!!
