Well i just booked Ohana for 5 pm dinner the night arrive at WDW!!!! I AM SOOOOO EXCITED! I do have Kona dinner for the night we leave...should i keep Kona too...or do something else?

Original Question: Kona for Lunch or Ohana for late breakfast:

Which would you do? and Why? I hear both are good...they will be in the middle of X park morning and MK evening

Any info you could give me would be great right now i have the KONA lunch booked but there is an opening for Ohana for a 1040 breakfast

Thanks all

Danielle

oh one more question...if our res. are at 1040 would they give us the obtion of getting lunch instead of breakfast or no?

I like the family style all you can eat breakfast service at Ohana. There is no lunch option. Everyone gets big platters of the same food.

I know you said you have an early lunch reservation at Kona but I don't think they serve lunch until 11:30-12pm. We were there in July and while we were sitting someone sat down next to us between 11-11:30 and they wanted the lunch menu but they couldn't/wouldn't give that to them since they were still serving breakfast.

Our kids loved Ohana last year at our 10:50 breakfast reservation. The restaurant was clearning out and we got great character time. I would pick Ohana.

Thanks soooo much :) I am so torn! LOL right now i booked kona for Dinner instead of lunch cause the menu looked better! thanks you DDP :D So if something opens up for Ohana dinner i am going to go there instead but as of right now it is not possible...oh well. DD and DH are not breakfast people so i think dinner would be best anyway even though we LOVE Lilo and stitch at our house!

Go with Kona! We did not like the family style serving of Ohana breakfast and felt it was way overpriced for eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes and waffles. We found the buffets to have many more options for a few dollars more. You really are paying to see the characters for a few mins at Ohana.

just got a 5pm res. for the day we arrive!!! SOOOO Excited!!!! Then we can be back to MK before wishes right? (i think the park closes at 8 that night)

On our july/aug 2011 trip we stayed at Poly and did Ohana and Kona for dinner! Both were great,:cheer2: though we did prefer Kona! I would not hesitate doing them both!

ok thanks so much...we are not staying at the poly but i thought they both look lovely!
