Kona ADR a must?

We will staying at the Poly 12/1-12/7. I'm curious how flexible our meals at Kona can be. Is it very hard to walk in for lunch or dinner?

We love Kona and have always made ADR's, but not once did we need to. Yje times we wetn only half the restaurant was full. We went the end of June and beginning of August. Resort dining without characters is usually not to bad for walk in or same day ressie.
