i have two small koi in a ten gallon tank. Dose any one know if they need any specail care i have koi food

Koi grow pretty big. I really don't think your tank will be big enough for them. They are pond fish, and are quite large when full grown.

I've had koi for many years, but they're in my pond. I personally wouldn't try to keep koi in a fish tank, unless it was a very large one. I hope I don't burst your bubble, but the only special care they need is plenty of room as they grow. I have a 150 gallon pond, and it's only big enough to accomodate about 4 koi and I'll eventually have to get rid of them because my pond is too small. Luckily my next door neighbor and my dad both have large ponds and can take them if need be. You should have a back up plan for when they outgrow the tank. It probably won't be long with a 10 gallon tank.

We keep our Koi in a pond too. In fact, we just had babies! So we're probably going to have to see a few as our pond is going to be too small for them all soon. I hope they all make it though.

I would recommend a pond as well.

chichihoney, I'm going to get on my soapbox here for a minute. Please, please, do your research before getting animals or fish. That way you will know what to do with them, and if there is something you can't provide, you know it ahead of time.

I'm off now. I know nothing about koi, except I've always seen them in ponds.

good luck :)
