did it take to arrive? I want to apply for one to get a shark vacuum there on Black Friday as they have the best price on the one I want. I can pay cash for it but I'd love to save an extra 15 or 20% by using the "next" purchase or bonus coupon that you get when you open the account.

You don't need to physically have your card to use it . If you want to buy something and have forgotten your card (and I assume it's the same for new accounts), you just tell the cashier, hand her your drivers license and she types info into the computer and a screen pops up on the credit card machine where you type in your ss# and sign. It automatically ljnks to your account.

If you apply in store, you get a temporary card right away.

DH and DD are on my account. It was easy-peasy, while DH was on the account from the beginning, we just added DD when she started to drive, because it irritated me beyond belief that her Kohl's purchases didn't get counted on the MVP amounts.

To your point - all you need to do is to call customer service. They will take care of getting the extra cards sent out.

Sorry - I just don't recall how long it takes to get the actual cards. And - yes - they will be able to look up your card number, as long as you have your ID, plus you need to key in your SS number at the register, this won't give you the extra discounts that come with the new cards.
