Kohls charge - is it worth it?

I've been toying with opening one for a few years for the coupons (30% off that you cannot get without it) are there any other benefits? I never carry balances on credit cards, I only charge things on them for the cash back and pay them off as soon as the charges hit. One reason I have held off on getting one is the cash back is so good on my Discover card and Chase Freedom card. There are some quarters that Kohls purchases get you 5% cash back. I also occasionally get $10 off $30 coupons from Discover in the mail that stack with the % off coupons Kohls sends out.

Can you add authorized users to your account so they can have a card too? Can you charge something to the card to be able to use the coupon and then immediately pay it off right there in the store? (I think I read that somewhere, not sure if it is true or not) so for example, if I add my mom as an authorized user and she has her own card so she can use the 30% coupons, can she use cash and pay off that balance right then?

I'm finally ready to get some post-baby clothes for spring and summer and my son needs a bunch of stuff for spring and summer so I thought it might be a good time to open one since I'll probably be spending at least $100 on clothes. I think it is 15% off they give you for opening a charge, but that would not be on top of a 15% or 20% coupon if I had one from the mail, correct?

I would only use it when I needed to for the coupons. Any other time I would just use my debit card or one of my other cards when they give 5% cash back for Kohls. Would it still be worth it to open?

1. Yes you can use KC to buy goodies and than turn right around and at register pay whatever you want on card.
2. Yes you can add other people who will get their own card.
3. there is frequent times when they offer 20% for opening account and if it's during one of scratch off times you could even hit jackpot and get 30%
4. Most of time you can use 1 % off coupon and 1 $ off coupon or as many KC as you have.
4. There is MVC KC which If you spend 600 in year you get extra coupons and bonus shopping days.

And if you are ordering online you can always find the 30% code (if there is one available at the time) and use it with your Kohl's card, whether or not you were sent the 30%.

This is what we always do. Every 4-6 weeks they have a 30% off code and free shipping. I order clothes, we try them on at home, and the returns are easy. Super convenient and great prices. (We just got DD a dress for the soph. Dance for $12! I see no negatives. We pay off every month too. Only store card I use.

yes, i think it is worth it. just for the 30% and free shipping codes online. they send me free $10 off anything coupons throughout the year as well...especially around Christmas. (I am MVC...so that probably helps with some them).

Yes!! I never carry a balance so it is totally worth it. The discounts are too good to pass up!

Even if you do spend a little more than you intend to in a given month, as long as you pay at least 1/3 of the total balance there are no interest charges. Although this hasn't happened often for me there have been a few times that I have taken advantage of this. They list the amount to pay to avoid interest charges right on the bill. I don't know of any other CC or company that offers this type of perk.
