Kohls cash

I thought Kohls cash didn't expire and you could use it anytime. I just ordered through the website and it won't let me use my cash from last month. Did they change the rules?

I know my local Kohl's no longer accepts expired Kohl's cash as of June 1st.

I have read that some Kohls, at the store itself, would accept Kohls after the expiration date. I would assume the website won't take it after the expiration date. I recently went to a Kohls this week. The cashier specifically said to me that the cash does expire and they do not accept Kohls cash after the expiration, so I wonder if being lax is no longer allowed.

If true I sure hope they don't reduce the price of any returns due to the Kohl's cash. That would make me mad.

Our store had signs up about 9 months ago that Kohls cash would no longer be accepted after the expiration date. My Kohls doesn't reduce the price of the return, but you do take the Kohls cash portion as a merchandise credit.

I was in Kohl's on Saturday with Kohls cash that expired in May. They told me that they were updated with a new computer system in June which no longer allowed them to see any remaining balances on expired Kohls cash and did not let them see if the items that they originally received the Kohl's cash for was returned. Therefore, they couldn't accept outdated Kohl's cash. I was okay with that but the cashier suggested that I go back to the customer service desk to see if they could do anything. The manager said that since things changed so recently, and customers were used to being able to use expired Kohl's cash, when people bring in expired Kohl's cash, they (this store) are explaining the changes to customers and honoring the Kohl's cash for a little while until "word gets out". She did let me use the expired Kohl's cash but explained that in the future, I need to use it before it expired.

I had over $50 in expired KC, Rewards and a Birthday voucher, all expiring in March or April. At the end of May I went to the store to use them for clothes for vacation (since the cashiers in the store were trained to tell customers that the location will accept expired KC), and was told that the store stop accepting them on 5/22.

I sent an email to customer service with the numbers, pins, and values. They told me to place an online order and they would credit my account... which they did.

My local Kohl's never accepted expired Kohl's Cash. I shopped at a Kohl's about 80 miles away last weekend and the cashier told me that they no longer accept expired Kohl's Cash.

My store was very adamant yesterday no more expired kohls cash. They must. Have said it 2-3 times to each customer they rung up!

I used to work at Kohls and I know we were told that after system upgrade, no more expired KC or coupons would be allowed and that was over 2 years ago.
