A kodak picture spot is just what is considered a good spot to take a picture in the park...that's it. Like maybe a nice shot with the Tree of Life behind you. Usually, there is just a sign that says "Kodak picture spot," but when you do take a picture there the sign will appear in the background of the pics sometime...haha! It kinda defeats the point. People at Disney just picked out good places at the parks to take a photo.
There is usually a sample picture of what yopurs should look like at the actual sign in the park. They have one at each country in the world showcase that would make people think you were visiting the actual country instead of EPCOT.

Yup and amazingly this is at all theme parks and has been for a long time. I know Sea World had them when I went as a small child and a theme park here in NC/SC, Carowinds, has them. I have not idea why, they do.
