Well I think I have my mind made up (almost!) and have decided to get the Kodak EasyShare DX6440 camera.
Just want to check one last time and see if anyone can give me any advice on this specific camera.
If you have it--How do you like it? How is the picture quality in your opinion? Is it easy to use and worth the money??
Any recommendations or non-recommendations would be appreciated.:D

Thanks yet again,

Lory

I bought this model about a year ago before my trip to Africa. I needed a new camera and one that ran on regular batteries since I was without power for about 2 weeks. I really like this camera. I do notice some issues in taking pictures in the absolute darkness on the normal setting, but there is a nighttime setting that works pretty well. I have printed out up to 8X10s on my home (photo) printer and they come out great. I find this easy to use, but I am a techie so I find most electronics easy. I do have to counter this with the fact that my mother, who is technically challenged can use this camera easily. All in all, I say that this camera was worth the money I paid for it.

I bought this camera from Dell on a discount in May before my disney trip. It is a great camera!! I was a little worried about using it since it was my first digital camera. But I found I absolutely love this camera. It is so easy to use. I like using the short video with sound too!! The only problem I have is holding the camera still for night shots. There is a night time setting but I found if you don't have a steady hand they can come out blurry.
All in all, you will love this camera and its ease of use. Not to bulky too carry either.:)

Great--I'm glad this camera sounds like a good deal. It will also be my first digital camera.
Now I need to go look at what accessories I need to get also!
Would like to get it and figure out how to use it before our next Disney trip this December:Pinkbounc

Thanks again,

Lory

My husband and I bought one of these a few months ago. Very easy to use and we both really enjoy it (was our first digital camera). We did get the dock station (it was free), but not the printer. It's nice to have, but far from important.

Great Camera :D I think you will like it

I don't own this camera myself, but I have heard nothing but good things about it. I think the resolution for phtoos is great, and the "software" it comes with to fix red eye and such seems very user-friendly.

I am debating a purchase of a Kodak digital camera, and this is one I'm considering. I know several people who have it and really love it.
