On our past WDW trips, I used a Kodak 35mm camera (compact, automatic) and 800 speed Kodak film. I bought the film when it was on sale and usually brought 12 rolls plus two disposable underwater cameras.
Sometimes I bought more film during the trip!
Obviously it cost alot for the film and the developing.
We bought a $99 digital Kodak 3.0 megapixel camera to "try" the digital world. I wasn't very impressed but I soon came to realize it was the 3.0 mp that was the problem...and a lack of optical zoom and the ability to take closeups.
Now I bought a Kodak C875 digital. $199 at Circuity City or Best Buy. I bought one on Ebay for $179 plus $20 shipping BUT it came with a 2 MB MMC/SD card, a case, a cleaning kit, rechargable batteries (AA) and a charger. Not bad at all.
It's an 8.0 megapixel camera. I've messed around with it and I love it! Closeups are fantastic! It takes picture in black and white or even in the "old look" sepiatone (brownish) if you want. It has settings for distance, objects at speed, snow, beach, etc, etc, etc.
I'm impressed with how good the pictures turn out and how easy the camera is to use.
And it's small size is really great.
I'm looking forward to our next trip!
