Ko Olina Hawaii: Resort Layout Revealed

Thanks for sharing. Very interesting.

However, the layout seems odd. Aren't the DVC facilities usually on the opposite side from the convention areas?

Perhaps they mislabeled the Villa tower and the hotel tower. It looks like there is a small pool adjacent to the hotel tower. When I first looked at the drawing, I thought the pool might be a quiet pool for the DVC. Oh well, I guess I'll be stuck using the big pool in the middle of the resort!

Hi wdrl,
Thank you very much for sharing that information. Very interesting.I have not yet made it to Hawaii though this new resort is a good reason to take that REALLY long flight. :rotfl2: Thanks again.

The labeling on that map is c/w the info previously provided as to which tower is which.

As Liz Lemon would say, "I want to go to there.

I had a wonderful thought, too: Disney's Hawaiian Half Marathon. I think I'll start writing letters today. Or if I were smart, I'd buy the domain name!

Yeah, the thing I noticed was that nearly all of the conference facilities were on the DVC side. Shouldn't those facilities be closer to the hotel?

I wonder about the room layout. Surely, Disney won't include the kitchenette fiasco like they did at Bay Lake Tower.

Forgive me, but who is Liz Lemon? :confused3

Do they have a projection yet of when the resort might open in 2011?

Several different places have indicated that Ko Olina will open in the fall, or latter half of 2011. I also read that it will be opened in phases.

I was wondering the same thing. Why do they have the conference facilities on the Villas side of the resort instead of the hotel side?

Nice to know that I'm not the only to think having the conference center on the DVC side doesn't make sense. I keep thinking that if I was at a conference I'd rather my room not be clear across the resort from the CC.

...because conference related sales people might like to rent Grand Villas to host partys for convention goers?
