Ko Ko Puffs...Gone

I was just reading the menu updates on allears.net ( I have no life) and noticed an updated menu for Kona Cafe and the Ko Ko Puffs seem to be replaced by some orange mousse. This could be a 50th celebration thing but why take one of the most popular desserts off the menu. We would order these carry out and enjoy them in the room for a late night snack...they were huge. We were there in April and we did not get them. I said we will get them when we come in July....oh well another tradition fades into the sunset. We used to love eating a BeaverTail while watching Off Kilter. I am someone who does not like change...I mean the Ko Ko Puffs were good but not great...it was just something we liked doing while staying at the Polynesian. I wonder when they will take Tonga Toast off the menu? Wait a minute I was so upset about the Ko Ko Puffs I did not check the breakfast menu which was also updated....I will let you know.

We had lunch at Kona last month and they were not on the menu. A lady at the table next to us asked for some and the server said they were only for dinner but the chef had just made a fresh batch and she could have some.

I sure hope the ko ko puffs make a comeback! I enjoyed this dessert.

I hear they are still serving the KOKO PUFFS for birthday desserts and will make them for you if you ask...
