Knoxville Tennessee

Looks like there are a few people here that are relocating! Good luck to you!

We are in the preliminary stages right now in considering moving to Knoxville Tennessee from Rochester, NY. Are there any Tennesseeans on here?

I would love to get some advice about school districts, neighborhoods, etc. We will be flying down there in 2 weeks so my dh can meet with the company heads, and I will have some spare time to "look around". I'd be looking for areas that are west/southwest of Knoxville.

I live a little over an hour east of Knoxville, in Johnson City. I love east TN!! We have only lived here a year, but it is beautiful!! I really think you will like it, and I think you will really enjoy the cost of living change! I don't know to much about living in Knoxville, but there are quite a few dis'ers from there so I am sure you will get lots of help. Have a good vist and let us know how you like it!

I don't know much about living in Knoxville either but I live about 20 mins. from West Knoxville in Maryville. It could be a place to consider as many people drive from Maryville to Knoxville for work. Otherwise, my guess is that West Knoxville might be the nicest part of Knoxville anyway. There are a lot of really nice areas.
I've lived in this area for 30 years (am from NJ) and love it here. Best Wishes on a safe move.
