This morning I was checking the AP site to see what it would cost me to upgrade to a moderate resort. When I tried the POFQ I noticed the rate for a standard view was quite high. March 9 to 16 $1696. Not only did I check that on the passholder site it also said January-March Passholder Room Only Offer. I knew something was odd about that total so I checked rack rate room only for the same time and it is $1707. This makes the passholder site some what misleading. If you are not aware of what rack rate is or could be then you may end up booking thinking you have a discount.

Normally if there is no availability for a discount at a resort it will say there is no availability for your dates and then offer you different resorts. (as it did with all moderates for accessible rooms for my dates ) But like I said an offer for nearly rack rate came up. Sure you can say there is a discount being the price is different but that would be less than 1%.

So I am just saying know your numbers before you use the website or calling to book a discount. That way you will know you are getting the discount you think you are getting

This is always good advice under any circumstances. Price out the times you want at rack rate, so you know if you are getting a discount or not.
