Know other DVCers?

My parents. Three or four co-workers (I bought my first contract from one of them). The school my wife teaches for has a few owners as well.

I don't know anybody else who owns DVC. It would be kind of cool to have another Disney nut friend. Sometimes I see people with the DVC car magnets or the Disney mickey eared families on the back of their car, and want to follow them to wherever they are going and then get out and say "Be friends with me I love Disney tooooooooo!" But that would probably just scare them, so i haven't done it.

Haha- I feel like that too. I get all giddy, like "look another DVC member!" and my kids just roll their eyes....

I know only a few (maybe 4 or 5). One I met at the parks, by chance, after meeting on a Disney-related Facebook page. Really sweet person.

We moved to our current location about 5 years ago. Just a day or two after getting moved in we were shopping at the grocery store just a few blocks away and I was wearing a DVC t-shirt. Another shopper noticed my shirt and frantically began looking for his wife to point out "Look! A DVC Member!" I smiled and sort of nodded at him but I wish I had said hello.

Just my cousin. However, I have an I Love Mickey Mouse license frame, a Mickey decal on a side window and the magnetic DVC Member and AP on the back of the car. Note: If I put all this Disney stuff on my car, my adult children will not borrow it when they visit ;-) A purpose to my madness.) After grocery shopping the other day and pulling out of the parking lot, another car honked and honked and waved and as they passed I saw their DVC Disney "stuff" on their car.

We don't know any, but on our trip down NYE 2014 we ran into an older couple at the airport who own DVC. We talked to them all about it while we were waiting to check our luggage. Needless to say that conversation started the wheels turning in my head and less than a year later we bought our first contract.

I am actually surprised how many people aren't even really aware of DVC.

We have some clients who are DVC members and some who should be. We did the members' cruise in 2011 and became friends with quite a few members. We get together once or twice a year with those who live far away from the Chicago area and meet up more frequently for meals, etc. with those who are in the area. We are very fortunate to have gotten hooked up with these guys and love that almost every time we are at WDW one or another of them is around.
