We have just discovered that I am pregnant, and will be going to WDW in Sept - I will be about 4 months. I have seen messages here and there on pregnancy in WDW, and I was actually there once myself while pregnant (at about the same month). Does anyone know if there is a definitive list somewhere of WHAT exactly I will be permitted to do while there? While pregnant last time, my son was younger, and I was content not to ride much of anything. Honestly, I would do the same this time, but now that he is 3 1/2 and will be 40 inches, I think he may want me to ride some things with him. Plus, I would love to be able to watch him experience some things. 4 months pregnant has always been a pretty good time for me, and I am never very big at that time - actually I can't remember if I even showed much last time at 4 months, so my concern is safety for the new baby. I probably COULD ride anything comfortably, but of course will only ride things which are completely safe for this baby! I have seen a little info in the Unofficial Guide, does anyone know of a site with a complete list? - I may print it out and take it with me.

Thanks so much! Lynn

I don't know of a list, but when we visited DL in April/May of this year I was just at the end of my second trimester and I was advised (very politely) by the CM's not to ride most of the things I was waiting in line with my girls for. Fortunately, I wasn't planning on actually riding most rides, just waiting with the girls and my husband, but I was surprised at what they advised me not to ride (Tomorrowland Speedway, Teacups, Dumbo Ride, etc. - mostly only kiddie rides!).

When we went to Universal Studios Hollywood, they were much more laid back about the whole thing. Although some of the rides had warnings, the attendants advised that the rides were very mild, but they were obligated to have the advisory posted. Of course, I didn't try to ride a roller coaster or anything of that nature, but I appreciated having the option and I appreciated the information about the severity of motion on the ride.

At DL, I felt less encouraged to ride (even the tamest of rides) after being "advised".

HI,

I was at Disneyworld last August 5 1/2 months pregnant with twins!!! I think that you are not supposed to ride things that are jerky, the idea being you could hit your belly into something. I would just ask your ob, describe some of the rides like splash mountain and big thunder railroad to him and see what he says. I chose not to ride much just because I was uncomfortable. I rode most rides except for test track, tower of terror, etc. Hope you have a great trip!!

I was at WDW in Dec. 1998 and was just short of 7 months and will be there in this September also and will be 6 months. (I guess alot of us pregnant women will be around there then!).

On the Dec. trip, I avoided all the rides with warnings. The obvious fast paced thrill rides, and did pretty much everything else. The only problem that I can see with Dumbo is that the seating is low, and could be uncomfortable, but I honestly had planned on riding with my daughter who will be 2 1/2 in Sept.

One surprise thing was that Goofy Barnstormer. I was with friends and there was an expectant mother warning. So being the nervous first time pregnant woman, I sat it out. My friend took her kids, and she gets motion sickness and told me she felt a little sick after. So I am not taking chances on the next trip and letting my husband go.

I think the most important thing is to use common sense. You know your own body and its limitations with the pregnancy.

Have a safe and happy trip.

I went when I was 71/2 months I did not look it so no one questioned me however I went to the doctors the night before we left I got the OK to do things I knew would be ok. Skiped Space Mtn , Splash Mtn test track.
However I did Dumbo, I did Tea Cups and now DS 2yo loves the tea cups I just did not spin the cup !
I would have your dr make a copy of your record sheet and take the copy with you. I just found mine in a fanny pack we had that trip.

I was 6mo preg when we went last October. I called before we left asking the same question. The CM told me I could ride anything I wanted, the warnings they have are basically a guideline and to protect themselves. He said that no one could actually stop me from riding anything. Now, that said, He did advise me I might not want to ride, rollercoasters, Tower of Terror, tea cups, safari and to ask my Dr first.
