Know of a good place for lunch in Pasadena?

After our Disneyland park days we will be heading to Pasadena for the day to tour the Jet Propulsion Lab at Cal Tech. I was just wondering if anyone knows of a good place for lunch near there. My kids are 10 and 13 and are good with just about any type of food. I've looked on Yelp, etc. but I trust my fellow DIS-ers more any day of the week! Thanks for any suggestions you can make!

Don't know of any of the independent places, but I do remember El Pollo Loco on Colorado Blvd. That's always been reliable.

Is eating at the JPL cafeteria an option? I would just do that.

Are you looking to go into Pasadena afterwards? There are lots of places along Colorado Blvd. Just park in Old Town and you'll see options every. As far as places that you'd go to just to go to, I like Pie n Burger, Fair Oaks Pharmacy and Soda Fountain, and a few places in Old Town. There's also several options at the Huntington Library that you could look into. If you're heading back to DLR afterwards, you might want to stop somewhere downtown instead.

I lived in Pasadena for 20 years. I miss it terribly. And I have read that a lot of my old haunts are no longer open.

I have also heard Union is fantastic, but I haven't been there.

Lived in Arcadia/Pasadena 25 years ago - this place was a favorite. I was in LA about a year ago and drove an hour out of my way to visit - memory did not disappoint, best burger on the planet!
