So yesterday I couldn't get Teppan Edo for anytime during vacation. Figured out last night probably cause they aren't on the dining plan yet for 2010 and the CM had my reservation number in the system. So today tried calling and told the CM to not put it in, that it was a problem. She said Teppan is on dining plan and that it doesn' matter. Anyway, of course there was no availability again. So I repeated myself and asked her nicely to please take out the resort reservation number. After she didn't want to for a few minutes, she "supposedly" did. Said, nope still no availability. At that point I gave up. Went back to my computer and system finally loaded. Guess what, could immediately get a reservation for exact date and time I wanted!!!!!!

So my guess is she LIED to me as to not make herself look bad. That is just crappy.

Sad when we know more than the CM's do.
 
Yesterday I tried to make an ADR at Narcossees and the CM said I needed a cc to hold the ressie. I thought, maybe something new, but decided to wait and didn't book. To my surprise I booked today online without a cc to hold. So he was wrong. I also asked him to list latose intolerant on many of my ADRs and he said he could no longer do that. Well today I see that is still an option, so now I have lots of ADRs that I have to remember to tell them at checkin that one of the little ones is latose intolerant, because he wouldn't put it on my reservations. I'm so happy to be back in control of my ADRs.

So if it doesn't, then why in a matter of 2 minutes was I able to get a ressie for the exact date and time when 2 minutes earlier she told me there was nothing available at all that day there?
 

There are still a few hold out locations that have not signed the 2010 dine plan contracts. Just like last year and they do come on board usually buy jan 2010.

Cast members are doing there best to stay on top of things, but sometimes things do fall through the cracks. Think about your day and your job, give the cast members a break out their. They are trying to do their very best to help you.
 
Cm's do have a space on the dine res to list any allergies and or requests with the locations. They are using a pretty new dine program and with the release of the 180 day bookings it's been a little crazy for them. If the agent is not on top of his or her game, you can always let your dine staff know.

Actually I've seen 3-4 people report the same since yesterday. Since a few of the restaurants are not signed up for the DDP yet, if you are on the DDP -- they don't come up as available for you. If you have the CM remove the notation that you are on the DDP -- those restaurants come up as choices for you.
 
Everyone is correct, but It is easier if you have a stay with wdw to have the reservation number handy so the cm can attach the dine reservations to your stay, thus; when you check into your resort you can get a print out of your plans. Having the res number especially with a dining plan is key, when it may cause an unecessary charge, when it was only a credit card guarantee, because you had the dine plan.
 
i called for a ressie for cape may cafe breakfast for jan 26th. CM said earliest for my date was 8:55am. nothing earlier. i had asked for 7:30 or so. said no thanks and called back about 5 minutes later. different CM. asked for cape may same date and original time i had asked--7:30 or so. got 7:35am. how do you explain this. i doubt it was due to a cancellation.
 
Sence everyone is online and calling, booking and canceling, seating can open up at anytime. It's no different than a room being unavailable one moment and two mins later it's their.
 
hmmmmm, I had to give my cc to reserve Norcoossee yesterday. Also, they were able to list the fact that my son has dietary restrictions.............I guess each cm is different, some are good, others.....not so much.

I agree :) How many people do we work with; there great and others...well a little behind the learning curve...lol

Just as support here. I was actually able to book Teppan yesterday before I booked my resort package (thus, no plan attached), at the same time, others who had plans and had the resort package attached were told "no availability".

To continue with the thread though, the CM I had yesterday making my ADRs for me didn't believe me that putting a ressie in as 1 adult wouldn't show when 2 adults would. I had her try it and her response was "Well I'll be darned!" She was a super sweet woman though and was very very good even though yesterday was not the best day they've had. (Suffice to say, all 11 ADRs I did with her yesterday are set as 2 people :p) Interestingly enough, different restaurants work differently, as Le Cellier was the one that wouldn't go in with 1, but 50s PT seemed to work with just 1 the first time I had someone getting them (which then crashed and lost it all).

Just the weird little quirks in their system that they don't get to see as much as we spread around.
 
I do understand they may not know everything and since we are all slightly obsessed we are up on the things important to us, but what I don't get was the ATTITUDE. She was very rude about it and I still think she out right lied to me cause I caught her on the carpet. I would have been happy with a "I am sorry, looks like there are times available".
Don't give me attitude when I am asking nicely to double check.

This is relevant where you are booking a reservation that must be paid in full at the time of booking (CRT or the three dinner shows). Unless you're booking 180 +10, otherwise it makes no real difference whether or not you have your resort reservation linked to your restaurant reservations.

Even if you want them printed off by your concierge, they can look up your reservations by your name and phone number.
 
Oh, for sure, the attitude was horrible and uncalled for. I guess I misread and thought it was just a fun little post about us message board people having better base-information than the people who work actually work there (a very common trend not only here, but in several other industries as well).

At least the one that I had was very good natured about it and willing to try it and see and she learned something new!
