Knotts this Saturday?

We will be in LA for the day this Saturday and we'll have my older niece and nephew with us so the kids want to hit a Theme Park for some good rides. We've been to DL many times and Universal Studios once this past year, so we were thinking maybe we'd try out Knotts for something different. It's the beginning of Thanksgiving week and it also looks like it's the start of their Christmas celebration, so what kind of lines do you think we should expect?

Fairly large, but better than Disneyland and Universal.

The opening or the Christmas Season will make an impact, but it is my favorite season at the park.

My Christmas Favorites are the Ice Show, Merry Christmas Snoopy, the Tree Lighting and the play readings of the "A Gift of the Magi" and "A Christmas Carol", and shopping the unique crafts stands.

I tend not to focus on rides that much, but since I have a SP and live a few miles away, I can do those another time.

I hope you have tickets, if not, buying them online at Knotts.com tends to be the best, especially 3 days or earlier in advance.

so what kind of lines do you think we should expect?

The lines will be long so you might want to follow the typical touring plan: get there early to do the ride you most want to try.

The Ice Skating Show, was the same as last year, but was awesome.

The new main outdoor Christmas show was brand new, and fairly good, more focus on the Peanuts characters this year. (The large Mine Stage)

The Calico Tree Lighting will be held on the smaller venue next to the Calico Saloon. (Former Main Stage area).

But I like the decorations, but be prepared for crowds, yesterday, they were sending cars to alternative lots in the afternoon, and that was a day that was a "normal" day, the Christmas Season Starts tomorrow.
