Hi all

We will be in Anaheim in November/December. We are going to have a 14 day DLR hopper so will be spending a fair bit of time there. We also plan on lots of shopping etc. But I was wondering if going to Knotts might be a great idea.

We are coming from Australia so the idea of all the OTT Christmas stuff is awesome :thumbsup2 . Will Knotts have anything special and/or Christmassy? Do they do full decorations like DLR do? We just really want to get into the Christmas spirit that you guys over in the US seem to have.

Thanks so much

Hi aussiegirls if you really want to save money on Knotts may I suggest not buying tickets from a Travel Agent as they will cost you about AUD $75 for the day. If you are staying in Anaheim it is easy to get a bus from from Anaheim to Knotts takes about an hour, Knotts does not sell international tickets from there website but there are discounts from Subways etc discount tickets are about USD $31.95 busfare USD $3.00 total AUD about $43 save AUD $30 or more compared to USD $54.99 at the gate.

This is great! Thanks perlster for the photos. We are planning a Dec 2010 visit and planned on heading back to KBF (we went on our last Sept 2009 DLR visit). It is exciting to see that there will be Christmas/Holiday decorations up in KBF too!

My main advice is DO NOT go on the weekends when they are doing the special Toys for Tots promotion. We went last year when admission was free with the donation of a $15 toy. I have never been in such a crowded amusement park in my entire life, and I have been to DLR during Christmas week. It was awful. It was hard just walking around the park. DH and DS waited over 2 hours to ride one roller coaster. I waited close to an hour to ride the train with my other kids. We were disappointed that we couldn't see the Snoopy ice show. They had given out tickets first thing in the morning. You could wait in the stand-by line for over an hour with no guarantee of getting in, so we passed. The Christmas decorations were great. Very nice tree lighting ceremony with the Peanuts characters. Cute, very short parade. Santa is there, too. Next time I'll pay more to enjoy it more. As long as you go during the week, you should have a great time and pretty low crowds since you'll be here early December. They do close fairly early though, so plan accordingly.
