You know, that kind of makes my point though.
If there weren't knock-offs, nobody would think your bags are fake no matter how you dressed or who you were with.
Because anybody can buy a real looking one on a street corner, it downgrades what you have worked hard for and given up to purchas, don't you think? Instead of people saying, "Oh, look at that beautiful expensive bag she's carrying" they are thinking, "that must be a fake because she's also not wearing designer jeans and sunglasses to go with it."
I guess I was guilty of that thought myself.
It's the fake ones that would cause folks to think that, and that's kind of sad.
None of us should find our sense of self in an item, but I do think that designer purses and clothing are works of art and should stand on their own.
I think that if you love a good quality handbag and it makes you feel beautiful to carry one, knowing that they can be bought on a streetcorner for 20 bucks would be upsetting.
But, I don't know because I don't have one.

I could never afford even a lower end LV. Maybe a keychain.
