Ratings
I will rate categories on a 1-5 point scale, but instead will use the bouncing figment:figment:

:figment: =does not meet expectations
:figment: :figment: = just ok, maybe had some problems
:figment: :figment: :figment: =meets expectations
:figment: :figment: :figment: :figment: = exceeded expectations
:figment: :figment: :figment: :figment: :figment: = went above and beyond what thought possible.

I will try to rate all restaurants in the same area such as: service, atmosphere, value, and rate each individual dish.
In addition, I will include if I would return and if I would recommend it.

Something to keep in mind, we did not do the dining plan. Nor did we have any reservations booked before we arrived. Oddly we spent $200 less than if we had the dining plan (including snacks!) and we were able to get into everywhere we wanted to eat!

First up is Rose and Crown!!

We have never ate here, we decided on our first day, the best way to start it off would be with a new restaurant

Atmosphere: :figment: :figment:
We had outside seating for our dinner, which on every other occasion would be amazing, except is was 40 degrees out. They have heaters so it keeps it somewhat warm. However, we never even saw the inside of the restaurant to completely enjoy the atmosphere.

Service: :figment: :figment: :figment:
When trying to recall the service, I cannot remember anything spectacular, but I know it wasn't bad, met expectations

Now on to the food:

Rolls: :figment: :figment: :figment: :figment:
They were warm and the cheese (i think it is cheese baked on the top) but whatever it was, they were yummy

I had the fish and chips: :figment: :figment: :figment: :figment:
They were amazing. The breading on the fish was perfect, not too heavy.

DH ate the Bangers and Mash: :figment: :figment: :figment: :figment:
He said they hit the spot!

Value: worth it. The amount of food is perfect for the prices
Return: YES!!
Recommend: Yes

Great start, your pics are awesome! We're trying R&C for the first time in October. I'm definitely going with the fish & chips.:thumbsup2

Rose and Crown is DH and my traditional first lunch on arrival day! Nothing like starting off the trip with a few pints, and some fish and chips, or shepard's pie!

Looking forward to more reviews!

Can't wait to read more! We're dining at many of the same places as you on our upcoming trip.

I'm in and anxiously awaiting more. We alternate between Rose & Crown and Biergarten every other year. Glad you enjoyed it.

We ate lunch at Nine Dragons. This was our first time there since the refurb. And we still loved it!

Atmosphere: :figment: :figment: :figment: :figment: :figment: We love the new feel and look of the restaurant. While some of the changes seem little, everything was worth it. A much updated and needed look

Service: :figment: :figment: :figment: :figment: Our server was very attentive and extremely nice. We have always received some of the best service at Nine Dragons

We both had the lunch box set, which includes soup, chinese coleslaw, rice and choice of meat. I selected the saucy chicken, while my husband had the peppered beef. I will try to rate each item separate.

Beef Soup: :figment: :figment: :figment: :figment: Perfect job with the beef flavor. Amazing

Chinese Coleslaw: :figment: :figment: :figment: I don't eat coleslaw, but this is nothing like the coleslaw we know. It was just like a miniature salad with a light dressing on it

Saucy Chicken: :figment: :figment: :figment: :figment: very nice mixture of chicken and vegetables. The veggies were perfect, still very crunchy, not soft at all.

Spicy Beef: :figment: :figment: :figment: :figment: It was seasoned perfectly, not too spicy. just right and much better than any spicy beef we have ever had.

Here are the pics:

peppered beef (i might have called it spicy before, it is actually peppered beef)

value: Worth it! we were stuffed and never became hungry.
return: Yep, we always keep coming back. Love this place
Recommend: Definitely!

Been here many times, always just think it is ok

California rolls: :figment: :figment: :figment: it is a california roll, prefer different type of sushi, but cannot complain for quick service. Sadly did not take a pic

Beef Udon: :figment: :figment: :figment: I have never had udon, so don't have anything to compare it to, nor did I have any expectations. I liked it, and it was a large serving. However, I have no idea what udon is supposed to be like.

value not worth it. Seems overpriced for the quality of the food
return: I never want to, but always end up there every trip. Not the best food, but for quick it is ok
recommend not really. But if you want quick Japanese food, and you don't have any expectations, you might like it alot

This was our first time to WCC, we thought we would try it out b/c we love visiting the wilderness lodge. In addition, we were wanting to do a breakfast buffet, but thought this would be cheaper and the skillet includes everything that I would ever eat on a breakfast buffet.

Atmosphere: :figment: :figment: :figment: :figment: Love the look and feel of the restaurant. In addition the music playing was awesome. It was a mix of popular disney songs, all redone to be country

Service: :figment: :figment: we expected to be treated different, but she was too nice. We also heard that they had to tone down some of their antics because people complained. All we had was napkins and straws thrown at our table. We love to have fun, so we were prepared to have fun and were disappointed

All you can eat skillet: :figment: :figment: :figment: It was good and a good selection of food. They would give us more of whatever we wanted. The food was cooked nicely.

Value: Amazing. $14.99 a person for the all you can eat skillet is amazing

Return: Yes!!
Recommend: Yes!!

You know I am thinking of adding this in now, the pictures look amazing!

This breakfast looks good. We had dinner there and besides horrible service (we were there for over two hours), the dinner skillet was AWFUL (DH got sick). I think, though, that we will give the breakfast a try.

Great reviews and pictures (and I love the jumping Figments for your rating guide).

You hit 3 of the restaurants (and meal times) that I was interested in for my next trip.

Can I ask 2 things?

1. How busy was Nine Dragons for lunch? I was hoping not to have an ADR and do this one on the fly.

2. How were the eggs at WCC? I like my scrambled eggs cooked till dry (gooey eggs really gross me out :crazy2:).

Thanks so much and I can't wait to read more!

We loved R&C! It quickly became one of our favorites at WDW on our first trip. I am so in for the rest!

1. Nine Dragons dead for lunch. We walked up at 12:30 and were sat right away. There were only 4 other tables with people at them at that time

2. I don't remember the eggs that well. I would say they were in between. Kinda gooey, but somewhat dry. I wasn't a fan of them. But there was plenty of other food to fill me up.

It is always hard for me to eat at Liberty Inn b/c of all the wonderful other places to eat at EPCOT, but when I have a chicken tender craving while in EPCOT, this is where I go.

Chicken Nuggets: :figment: :figment: They changed since the last time I was here. They used to be fingers, now they are nuggets. I prefer the chicken fingers much more. Otherwise they were ok, nothing special, just satisfy a craving.

DSC01318.jpg

value: Eh, not worth the $7,
Return: only if I am in EPCOT and I want chicken nuggets
Recommend: only if you are in EPCOT and want chicken nuggets

We went to Planet Hollywood bc DH had never been to one, and there was that lovely $15 off coupon in our package

Atmosphere: :figment: :figment: :figment: It is what is expected of a planet hollywood. Tons of stuff on the walls in a loud environment

Service: :figment: :figment: :figment: It was expected nothing special or horrible

Chicken Crispers: :figment: :figment: I selected this based off of the server's recommendation. I thought they were too sweet to be chicken tenders. I know they do something different to them, but the sweetness did not mix well with the chicken

DSC01343.jpg

Breadsticks: :figment: :figment: :figment: :figment: In addition to the chicken, i had breadsticks as a side. They were yummy. The garlic wasn't too overpowering and not buttery at all

DSC01344.jpg

Chicken Avocado and Swiss: :figment: :figment: :figment: :figment: DH has this chicken sandwich and loved it. Said it was a good combo of things to have on a chicken sandwich. And the skinny french fries were also quite tasty

DSC01345.jpg

Value: worth it, especially if you have the $15 off coupon.
Return: Nope, been there done that, no reason to come back. Honestly, it was nothing special, ok food and atmosphere that i can find just about anywhere.
recommend: Not really, unless you have the coupon and like the atmosphere
