me me me me!!! My question! I travel a LOT and knit even more.
Even pre 9/11, Air Ontario would not let me knit. (This on a Dash8 over the Maritimes, and no knitting to calm me down as the plane bumped its way along)
Air Canada STILL has knitting on it's 'banned' sign. On Air Canada flights from the US TO Canada, the ground crew are definitely ok with knitting - I stared enviously as other knitters asked while I had nothing to do as the knitting was back home - I originate out of Canada on my flights, therefore cannot take any knitting along.
I have however mailed my circulars to myself so that they are there at my destination when I arrive.
When everyone at home heard that I was stuck in my room for 2 days at POR during Hurricane Jeanne, they asked if I got lots of knitting done. Uh, no, didn't get a chance to mail my needles since my trip was planned very short term.
And ask me why I have about 60 circular needles, mostly in the same size? Because I often have to buy a new set on the road so that I can knit!!!
So happy knitting, and remember your poor Canadian knitters who sit in boredom on Air Canada flights.
