OK, my 87 y.o mom ain't always clear, but she's telling me about some kind of neck wrap that's put in the dryer to make it fluffy?

I'm at a loss, I've searched the net and haven't found this new craft-fad.

Help!

Denise < --- just curious and figgered you crafters would know.

Maybe she is talking about felting. This is very popular right now. I knitted a hat using wool yarn. It was very large when I finished knitting it. Like it came almost down to my chin. I put it in my washing machine in hot water to shrink it. You know this is not what you do with a wool sweater!! Anyway, The wool shrinks from the hot water and from the agitation. I dried it in the dryer until it was the perfect size. I removed it from the dryer and tried it on for size- too big, in for more time. Hope this helps.

Yeah, those scarfs are real popular right now.

That scarf is made with fun fur or Eye lash.. yarn. I just finished making 4 scarves of red and black. I think using 2 of these at the same time is a bit harder because its boring,,lol but they are fun.. The next scarf I am doing a pattern of 5 rows of eyelash and 5 rows of fancy fur. Same idea but its not so mundane... Have fun... Another idea.... when your done with your regular yarn scarf.... Pull a coordinating ribbon though it from end to end with the blunt needle leaving enough on each end as a fringe and a knot at each end... I saw it on DIY....

Have fun
Reenie
