Knickerbocker Hotel?

HI Chicago friends~ me again, I just went on priceline and got the Knickerbocker hotel for 79.00 a night, great price, fancy hotel. We are more Sheraton, Holiday Inn people, what can I expect, too fancy smancy?~ thanks again. Dawn

I stayed there many years ago (1989, I think). I thought it was nice. They have probably made rennovations/changes since then. I don't remember it being too stuffy.

You probably aren't going to be there THAT much. I have not been there either but I think my dh has. I believe it's a nice hotel but a comfortable nice. By the way - and if I already asked this before - when are you coming to Chicago?

may 21-23~ leaving late afternoon on the 23rd, we are heading down to Farmer City Illinois for the long weekend, my nephew is Graduating, we just tacked on extra days to explore chicago.

I stayed there last year. It was very nice & in a good location. The room we had was small but nice. There is a great martini bar in the lobby I think that 79.00 is an awesome rate for that hotel! You'll like it. Feel free to PM me with any questions.

The Knickerbocker is a very small elegant hotel. However, it does not seem too stuffy or too fancy. The location is excellent and the price you got from Priceline is great, rooms go for much more. Our company has a corporate rate with the Knickerbocker (which is higher than what you are paying) and we put up our out of town customers/sales reps there. We haven't had any complaints.

great! thanks you guys put my mind at ease. It looks like i am close to shopping, my daughter cant wait to go to the American girl store, and eat at the rainforest cafe seems like everywhere we go and there is a rainforest cafe we have to eat there. dont get me wrong its better than mcdonalds (another one of her favs) but I would love somewhere new.
