Hi. I planning on getting my knee scoped the first part of January. My Dr has said a 6 week recovery. It seems a long time but he also knows about our Disney trip the first part of March.
Now the hard part, trying to get exercise in and lose weight while recovering.I am 204.5 and want to be around 170 for our Aug 1 DD wedding, but want to be thinner to look for a dress in Florida.

Best WISHes for a speedy recovery and successful surgery.

As long as you are moving and eating healthy--check those calories, you will be able to continue to lose weight.

Talk with your doc and ask advice about what you will be permitted to do. Upper body, Pilates, anything. Pilates will be pivotal for thinning you out. Strengthen your core muscles and you'll see the difference.

Keep making your healthy eating choices. During your recovery time, see if you can split those healthy meal choices into two parts. Have them a couple of hours apart. You body will enjoy having fuel and won't feel the need to store b/c it is prepping for the famine. Start today with that. You'll see results.

i was going to say pilates too! and yoga --

do you keep a food journal? i find that very helpful when i think i'm eating ok but the scale begs to differ
