My husband has some torn ligaments in his foot. He will be in a boot when we leave for Disney in about 3 weeks. We are trying to determine what would be our best option: to rent a knee scooter from a medical supply store here at home OR rent a ECV from somewhere in Orlando? He's strained these same ligaments before and used crutches that time, but obviously crutches would be too difficult to manage in the parks all day. My main concern with the ECV is getting to a from the parks with it PLUS a double stroller. We are staying at the Hilton Lake Buena Vista, so it's not a WDW resort bus every day.
Thoughts? I haven't used a knee scooter before nor has he, so we don't know how well they operate in long durations...

My concern with it would be people walking into his foot that hangs off the back of the knee scooter and that could be painful and in the queues that could happen often when people aren't paying attention although I guess if you were behind him it would be you running in to him LOL.
