Kmart toy clearance!

Just wanted to share that Kmart is having 50% off clearance toys...and I know sometimes toy clearance is junky and you buy it because it's cheap but they had some good stuff!


DD4 has been asking for the Barbie Puppy Water Park....$23 on Amazon, $10 at Kmart.

She also has been asking for Disney Princess Favorite Moments Fashion Play Set...$11 on Amazon, $5 at Kmart.

Switch and Go dinosaurs- DS3 got one for his birthday, is obsessed with it, $15.99 on Amazon, $7.50 at Kmart. I also got him a Hot Wheels rig that is $33 on Amazon, $8 at Kmart.

And I got the Thomas the Train crane set (Cranky and Flynn Save the Day) for my nephew....it's ginormous. $73 on Amazon, $20 at Kmart.

I got some other things too but those are the exciting ones for me. So check it out!

I went yesterday and there was a TON! More than I have ever seen for their sale....

Tons of legos...all the super hero sets were marked down...the big avengers set was 20 bucks...the big super heros were 7...also there were city sets, pirates of the carribean...tons! (at least at my store)

there were also a lot of really big thomas sets, dinosaur train, cars, hot wheels, barbie, zoobles, ponyville, etc....i couldnt believe how much they had. i didnt need a lot but i did get legos for my son and nephew for christmas and birthdays in feb/march. its definately worth checking out if you have one close to you and need toys for Christmas.

Bummer! I just ordered a Switch & Go Dino on Amazon for my nephew's Christmas gift (will be 4 in January)! Our Kmarts closed down a couple of years ago -- I thought they all did, but apparently not! lol

I happened to be there today at mine when they made the announcement over the intercomm, and we picked up the Beauty and the Beast 11" doll set for $11 (with Belle, Prince Adam, and a "mask" that makes him the beast).

We also got the last Lite Sprite accessory my little one wanted... I am trying to teach her that you DON'T have to "collect them all" like the TV always says, but when I bought her a ton of the pieces at the Target clearance, she noticed that there was one house I hadn't bought and wished for it on her Christmas list... It still worked out to $7.50 whereas it was $5 back when I didn't buy it at Target, but that's ok, now I know she REALLY wants it.

I just wanted to warn everyone to be VERY CAREFUL when choosing what (if anything) to get. I bought DD5 a Tag book the other day before they went "extra 50%"... the one I bought was $11, but there were several other titles labeled "$15" with a clearance sticker--and I price-checked, that was correct-- and it seemed weird, because I didn't remember TAG books being so expensive that $15 would be the clearance price. Sure enough, the same ones were $14.99 regular price at the other Kmart store I was at today....

So that means they marked it "clearance" and RAISED the price a penny. So today those items would now be 50%, but it's 50% off the original price, not "extra 50%" like they were claiming.

All in all, I'm pretty happy with what we got. I got the Lite Sprite and Disney dolls today, and I got the TAG book for $7.70 as well as several FurReal babies at 30% off on Saturday with a SYWR coupon they had emailed me.

They are really going NUTS with the SYWR offers lately. I stopped in to pick up socks and underwear for my girls today, and picked up the toys I mentioned, and split the tranactions so I could use the double-points coupon on the toys and a $5/25 coupon on the clothes... and they told me I had another 5000 free points offer for kids clothes that expires 10/7, so I used that (essentially a $5 gc) along with the $5 coupon... then the computer kicked out a bunch more points offers... some on things I might actually buy, some not-so-much.

I have *no* idea why they gave me 7500 pts on Saturday when I bought the toys then... but I'm up to $55 in rewards, more than half of that from recent insane bonuses, so I'll take it. At this rate, I'll be getting their dreamlites they want for Christmas for FREE.

I have to say, it still bothers my inner teen to hear "Attention Kmart shoppers." Even if I am at this point, pretty much the QUEEN of Kmart shopping... the kickbacks are just too good to pass up.

thanks for sharing! I will have to check that out. I'd never heard of switch and go dinosaurs and that sounds right up DS's alley!

ETA: bummer. Went to the local one and sale my foot. The prices were ridiculous. There was one fashion doll on "sale" for 50% off the tag said and I saw the exact same doll on sale for a full $7 cheaper at Target. And no switch & go dinos on sale. My store was lame!

I went yesterday and they gave us 50 percent off the clearance price. I scored some Disney stuff like this lite brite style writing screen, (13 bucks) a few cute dolls, (a splish splash Cinderella) and the other stuff I put on lay away. (since you can't put clearance on layaway) They are having a promotion where they pay off one layaway per store per week.
I went directly to the help desk to check out because I know what they announced over the intercom. Let's just say I don't have a lot of confidence in the cashiers at my Kmart. The only thing the service desk did wrong was they couldn't figure out how to ring in a reciept that would have given me 5000 points.
