Kitty's having surgery today :-(

I am sooo glad to hear that Blythe is doing well!! I'm sure she is feeling much better! I'm happy to hear the biopsy came back with good news too!

It's amazing how fast animals bounce back isn't it? :goodvibes

P.S. I would love to see some pictures of your girl if you get the chance. :)

Here are a few. She is hard to photograph, because she usually runs away when I get the camera out. She has blue eyes, so maybe the flash hurts her eyes?:confused3

Wait a second! We can't have a partial view of another cat. Now we have to see the other one too, AND the two others. Come on Marsha, no holding out on us. You've obviously have one sweet kitty. :) Let's see the rest. :goodvibes

And as for Blythe having the infection for months. Don't beat yourself up about it. It probably snuck up slowly. It was probably tender at first and she just lived with it. Then as it got worse, she just thought that's the way it is. She didn't know she was supposed to alert you that something was wrong. She's stronger now and healing. That's what counts. :thumbsup2

Sorry I didn't see this earlier when you were worrying, but glad to hear things turned out well. Don't worry about her having any problems eating. Cats mostly use their teeth for catching and tearing prey, and very little chewing. Since we feed them off silver platters, she should be able to eat anything she wants once her gums heal.

Try not to feel too guilty about them telling you it was going on for months. Cats are EXCELLENT at hiding when they are in pain. It's natural instinct for them. Think about it, out in the wild if you act like you are sick, you become somebody's dinner. Unless you KNOW what to look for, it can be difficult to pick up that a cat is in pain.

I'm glad your furbaby is better!

Okay, here is the partial view kitty, Antonio, Blythe's brother. He is twice as big and looks nothing like her, but is from the same litter...

my little angel had many teeth over the years removed. Most before she was 3. If you want to do hard food. You probably could. Just find a food with a small size kibble, one that breaks apart fairly easily.

Of course wait until her gums are healed, and see what the vet recommends. mine were eating feline id because of allergy issues, its a small little kibble.

Marsha, your cats are beautiful. Yes, I can see why you brought Antonio & Blythe home when you saw them both. :thumbsup2
