Kitty (Simba) urination question....(long post) update...a normal #1!

He just peed, and it was purrrfectly normal, now I think there isn't a darn thing wrong with him and it was just a behavior thing! I will continue to watch though...darn cat!:teeth:

YAY.:) I bet he heard you were going to be near Meowi soon and he was pouting.;)

Good to keep a close eye on our feline friends. One of mine died suddenly on Tuesday morning with few symptoms. We were scheduled to see the vet at 9am but she did not make it. I think I will be sad for a long time.

I am glad Simba seems to be doing fine. My pup "Dot" had a UTI a while back. Had to go all the time with only a few drops. ANtibiotics fixed her right up.

Brown Eyes,
Good one about Meowi! LOL:teeth:

Cathy.

Food that stays down
Poop that is solid
Pee that is yellow and flows freely (but not too freely)

These are the things that make me happy

That makes me happy too, Doc, and of course kitties waking me up a couple of times during the night, I know they are ok when they do this.:teeth:

Thanks, neighbor. I take comfort knowing that she went peacefully without pain or discomfort. The vet thinks that she likely developed intestinal cancer due to her irritable bowel syndrome. Luckily for her, she slipped away before we made her go through a lot of "procedures" and such. We go to the Cat Clinic in Norwood. Where do you go?

Catsrule I'm glad that Simba's doing better and I'll have my fingers crossed for him.:D But please take him back and get his urine checked as there shouldn't have been any blood present.

DocRafiki.... sad to say I've had to learn alot about this disease as I've experienced it with 3 of my cats in the past 30 years and really had a hard time of it with my cat Duffy (he passed away 2 years after having the surgery at the age of 9)about 7 years ago.

With Willy I still have a hard time getting him to drink water and he's a really "stressed" out little kitty....worrying about every little noise. We did talk about some kind of tranquilizer for him too.

I've spent my last week with his litter box in my kitchen where I "watch" every move he makes....in more ways than one!:p

Imgonnabe40....I'm so sorry for your loss {{{hugs}}}

Hope Simba continues to feel well!::yes:: :wave2:

Oh no! How horrible. You are right, though; at least she didn't die at the hospital after getting poked all day.

It's so hard to tell even IF they're sick sometimes, much less to find out what is actually the problem. :(

IMGONNABE40!, Simba goes to the Monfort Heights animal clinic, but they were closed Sunday so I took him to the Colerain Animal Clinic which takes emergencies only on Sunday. I am on the West side.

sammi, there was no blood in his urine. I am giving him the medicine that they gave me anyway, but of course Simba runs and hides under the bed everytime he sees it come out. :teeth: Watch him go no. 1 this morning and afternoon, all normal. I have no idea why he ran into the litterbox 6 times in a row and let out a couple of drops. He never did this before and hasn't done it since.

Thanks for all the good thoughts for my baby boy.:D :wave2:

Thanks for your kind words and hugs, everyone. It helps to know there are people out there who understand what it is like to lose a cherished furry member of the family. Arizona was a small cat, but had a big place in my heart.
