I made this for a cooking demo for a group of ultra-conservative(!) church ladies and they really had a laugh over it. DD (mid 20's at the time) made it for a couples' party and her friends turned their noses up at it. go figure.

My kids' karate studio is having a Halloween party and they asked someone to send in a "Kitty Litter Cake". I had no idea what they were talking about until now.

Yuck!

I'll sign up to take something else.

I think the scoop pushes it over the edge. Seriously, that bothers me more than the poop.

I made this for a Halloween party DD had when she was 14. It was just the girls, and they were appropriately grossed out! They ate some of it, but it was all I could do to make myself try it... and I'm the one who MADE it! A friend heard about this and made one for his son's soccer team's end-of-season party. The boys LOVED it and devoured in in no time! Go figure. FWIW, it really is yummy, if you can get past what it looks like! If you decide to give this a whirl, Dollar Tree sells disposable aluminum pans that are the right size and poop scoops... for $1 each.

My high school did CATS as our spring musical two years ago, and someone gave the kitty litter cake to a friend. At first we thought it was real and freaked out, but then once we ate the cake all was well. It really is a yummy cake!
