1 (18 ounce) boxspice cake mix or 1 (18 ounce) box German chocolate cake mix
3 eggs (or as called for by your cake mix)
1/3 cup oil (or as called for by your cake mix)
1 1/3 cups water (or as called for by your cake mix)
1 (18 ounce) box white cake mix
3 eggs (or as called for by your cake mix)
1/3 cup oil (or as called for by your cake mix)
1 1/3 cups water (or as called for by your cake mix)
1 (6 ounce) box vanilla instant pudding mix
1 (18 ounce) package vanilla sandwich cookies
green food coloring
12 small Tootsie Rolls
1 new kitty litter box
1 new kitty litter box
1 Pooper Scooper

Directions:
1. Prepare cake mixes and bake according to box directions (any size pan). Prepare pudding, chill until ready to assemble. Crumble sandwich cookies in small batches in food processor, scraping often.

2. Set aside all but 1/4 cup.

3. To the 1/4 cup of crumbs, add a few drops of green food coloring and mix using fork or shake in a jar.

4. When cakes are cooled to room temp, crumble into a large bowl.

5. Toss with half the remaining cookie crumbs and chilled pudding.

6. You probably won't need all the pudding, mix the cake and "feel" it, you don't want it soggy, just moist; gently combine. Line litter box.

7. Put mixture into box.

8. Put 3 unwrapped tootsie rolls in microwave safe dish and heat until softened.

9. Shape ends so they are no longer blunt, curving slightly.

10. Repeat with 3 more tootsie rolls and bury in cake mixture. Sprinkle the other half of cookie crumbs over top.

11. Scatter green crumbles lightly over top (chlorophyll in cat litter). Heat 3 tootsie rolls in microwave until almost melted.

12. Scrape them on top of the cake and sprinkle with cookie crumbs.

13. Spread remaining tootsie rolls over top; take one and heat until pliable, hang over side of litter box, sprinkle with cookie crumbs.

SIL made this for one of her son's Birtday dinners. It does look kind of gross but it tasted great!

I just made kitty litter casserole for our Haunted Mansion night... it was rice with chunks of hamburger in it... looks just like this... pretty gross looking but yummy.

Made my stomach lurch. I have four cats and three litter boxes I clean several times a day. Just the idea makes me......

I made this cake for my DS's Halloween/B-Day party 8-10 years ago. We went so far as to add red/green streaks to the "poop" it was disgusting! The kids loved it and still talk about it.

Awesome cake for the pre-teen age where body funtions and gross stuff are still funny to them.

It's a bit spendy to make with having to buy the cat pan, the scoop and then all the stuff to assemble but its a truly gruesome masterpiece when completed

Been around forever.

My kids had it when they were small and they are over 30 now.

It is fun....and gross as it looks, it is a great hit at parties.

These are hilarious and fun (if disgusting...). We usually add Almond Roca to them for more authenticity.

Lol...DD12 made this for a Girl Scout Bake Off a few years ago. She won first place! ...It actually is pretty good once you get past the ick factor.:rotfl2:

:rotfl:

It's hysterical. Kids love it because it's so gross, and it looks so real. **snort** the crunchy tootsie rolls give it that extra special touch. You have to actually roll the tootsie rolls in the crumbs for the perfect effect.

That is funny! The tootsie rolls that make the "poops" are perfect for the cake.

OMG, that's hilarious! :rotfl2:

Never had it before, but I'd eat it. Reading the recipe, it sounds good!

I saw one like that a few years back - kept the recipe and the photos - but could never bring myself to make it.. Just looking at the photo you posted makes me want to barf! LOL..

For someone with a strong stomach though, I can see where some would get a kick out of it..;)

EEww nasty! We have a cat and DD13 cleans his litter box and doens't get grossed out, but me. let alone cake litter box. Does it come with a bossy cat who meows to let you know it's time to "clean it out"? lol

My sil makes this and I won't touch it. I don't think it's cute. It's disgusting. I make "dirt cake" so she thinks I'm a hypocrite, but I put mine in a triffle bowl and I do not put worms in it like some people do.
