I don't know what it is about the computer, but everytime I'm on it, my kitty insists on sitting in my lap. If not in my lap or trying to 'help' type, she stands in front of the screen and stretches. Does your kitty like attention too when you are on the computer? :)

I can't sit here without one of mine on my lap. Timmy is my snuggler and if he hears you on the computer he will instantly hop up in your lap!! The other one (Charlie) will just walk all over the keyboard and sit in front of the screen.....its very annoying!!

I can probably type a better reply to this once the cat gets off my arm. He's always on the computer desk like a little animated statue.

If I am on the laptop he lays his orange furry butt across half the keyboard. If I am on the desktop computer he lays between the keyboard and the screen and STREEEEEEETCHES as high as he can so I can't see anything or puts a paw on the esc key so my commands cancel out and I can't get any work done. Laps are not good enough, he must be in my FACE. He is jealous of the internet as it takes attention away from him!

Remember, cats read the newspaper with their rump. In the high tech era, maybe they are reading the keyboard.

If you pay attention to it, they will sit on it.

Henry likes to jump up on the desk and get between me and the keyboard. He will then flop down, ignoring the fact that I'm trying to type, and push the keyboard away from me with his feet.

He then looks up at me with his 'blinky' eyes as if to say, "Well, what's more important, me or the computer?":rotfl:

My black and white one does... I think she's fascinated with the movement of the cursor!:)

I cannot believe how much yours and mine look alike!

Mine likes to sit on the mouse and the warm laptop..

Grrrrrrrrrrr Two of my cats fight over who is going to nap on the lap top. I have to close it down and it's annoying! It's the warmth they they like plus they know it is something of yours. so it is territorial too.
I love them anyway!

My Sasha (my avatar) sits on my lap while I'm on the net. She won't take "no" for answer. She'll meow before she jumps on me. If I take her off, she comes right back!

Beatrice is the "owner" of the desktop computer, while Rosalind "owns" my laptop.

When Bea hears someone on the desktop computer, she runs in to the study and starts climbing all over the chair, the desk, and the person on the computer. She used to sit on top of the monitor and dangle her paws and tail in front of the screen, but we got a flatscreen and now she just tries to lay on the keyboard.

Rosalind loves to snuggle up to my laptop when I'm using it, and she drapes her chin and paws across the keyboard, sometimes managing to mess up my work by moving her paws on the keypad and hitting keys "on accident".

Its the funniest thing lol, before baby Jack came into our lives, the kitties were always on our laps even when on the computer. Once Jack joined us, the cats dont hang with us unless he is in bed asleep and then they cant get enough of us.

my cat loves to cuddle with my mom when she is on her desktop. She only comes and plops on me when i am watching tv. She will sit her heavy behind on my chest and sit tall so i cannot see anything but her.
