What to do??

I have looked online & read the normal side effects- drooling, pacing, excessive grooming.. he has done all of these.

What I am worried about is.. should he be mewing like he is aggravated??

He is still playing with his toys, so I'm not thinking kidney failure, or anything, but when he forgets about his toys and is just roaming the halls, he MEWS & whines. When he FIRST licked it, he semi-foamed at the mouth.. Then, he licked it again & learned his lesson. He's eaten since-- i'm guessing to get the taste out of his mouth.

IS HE OKAY?!

Is there a toll-free # to call on the package?

That sounds like questions for a vet. Do you have an emergency vet in your area?

Or keep googling.

Licking the stuff will not cause a problem. The reason we try to put it a place the kitty can't get to it is that for most cat the taste is so horrid that they drool and zip around and act like they have been poisoned.
Eventually the taste seems to go away. Rinsing his mouth with a bulb syringe of water might haelp.

Heck, I have a cat who will eat fruit cocktail. Gotta love 'em!!!
