I was reading one of the many Disney Guide books and this one mentioned the Kit Cot fun stop areas that kids can do craft projects and then the CM can sign it for them..has anyone done this before?? It said they have them in the world showcase pavilions and other areas as well..I'm interested in learning more if you've done them before..thanks!

we did them in march, i think its kidcot. They have masks that the kids can color and then they get a tag on them and a stamp from each country. We also did the passport (you buy is for like $10) and you get that stamped with a message in the native language and it has stickers.
It was a really good way to get DD interested in wanting to walk around world showcase. We plan on doing it in September as well.

The kidcot stops are fun! My girls liked getting the tags from each country and decorating their masks.

do you have to buy a passport or can i just bring another autograph book or a poster board with me?

We did this in World Showcase with our 4 yr old. She had a blast coloring the masks( with sharpie markers..be aware) and talking with the Cms

I read about this as well, can't wait to do it on our trip in 17 DAYS!!!!! I like the idea of them getting involved in an activity at each stop and giving them some incentive to keep walking! lol:goodvibes

I haven't been on the parent-side of this, but working it was a lot of fun. Sometimes it gets really busy... Take 5 minutes and go somewhere else, it goes thru pretty quickly. Just don't wave the mask in front of the CM's face--that's really annoying.

I'm taking my niece this year so we'll try this too. She should really enjoy the different "Hello" each country teaches. I suggest asking them to write it on their tag so the child can practice throughout the day (like while waiting in line!).

The CM's will write the child's name in different languages on the mask. Also Kim Possible is a blast if the kids are a little older, 7 and up.

I'm sure it depends on the child, but my 4yo dd (well, she was actually almost 5) LOVED the kidcot stops. We did Epcot on our first day, and she loved going through all of the countries. We didn't get to all of them that day, so the next day when we were at MAGIC KINGDOM, my dd (her 1st trip to WDW, mind you) says "Oh, Mom... don't forget... we need to go back to Epcot so I can finish my mask!" We're in Fantasyland, and she's worried about coloring with markers! :confused3

Yes, she's a bit of a nerd!

DS4 and DNiece7 (they were 2 and 5 last May, and DS was 3 in December) loved the Kidcots!! In fact, if we let them, they would have stayed and colored all day. As someone mentioned, Kidcot is sponsored by Sharpie, so wear something on which you don't mind getting permanent marker.

We did all the WS stops and two in FW. Have fun!

DS (now 16) & DD (now 13) always loved the kidcot stops, up to about age 11. Pretty cool mask on a big wooden stick, each country adds a decoration to it. Plus they sign and stamp the passport of autograph book.

In China they write your name in Chinese, always thought that was cool.

they also have kidcots in the the living with the land area, the seas area, the GM race car place(brainfart cant think the name of it!!)

they give you different things like a car cut out or a fish cut out to attach

when your mask is full you get a little certificate

My 5-year old was pretty particular about the things he liked to do when we went last year, and this was one of his favorite things at Disney.

My kids LOVE the kidkot stops and just did the passports for the first time recently!

Here is a page in my son's passport! They misheard his name and wrote derek instead of darren, but oh well...language barriers do happen!

Here's the kids with their masks and passports!
