Where do you buy your kitchen supplies? By kitchen supplies I don't really mean pots and pans - more like odds and ends such as a zester, candy thermometer, wooden spoon, garlic crusher, etc.

Bed, Bath, & Beyond feels like highway robbery.

I buy the higher end items at Walmart -- their prices are good. I usually don't buy the Walmart Kitchen Utensils but they do carry name brands with good prices.

You can also get good deals at Dollar Tree for kitchen items -- I bought a pair of oven mitts there that have held up very well, and they were only $1.00 a piece!

I usually shop the clearance sales at Pier One, and Crate and Barrel, too.

I love the OXO brand that is carried at BB&B, especially their gadgets like can openers and garlic press. I find that if I buy a lesser quality item, I'm buying another one in a year or so, so it makes more sense to get the good one the first time around. But for items like wooden spoons, any model will suffice. I get the important things at BB&B with the 20% off coupons and $5 off $15 purchases.

BB&B will let you use expired coupons, and often will take them on items that it says are excluded on the coupon. They will take as many as you have at one time as well (limit 1 per item). We save all of ours, keep them in a pocket in our car, and when we need to shop we get them.

The Big Lots near me has a huge selection of kitchen supplies, and some of them are even name brand. I also like Target's kitchen aisle.

If you don't mind things that may not match, Tuesday Morning is great for this type of stuff. They usually have higher end stuff like Kitchen Aid and Oxo.

Kohl's or Target. Usually Kohl's, they have better houseware sales and slightly larger selection than Target. I wait for a 30% coupon and stock up on whatever household and kitchen items I need.

I really like Home Goods...I'm not sure if they are everywhere though. It's kind of like a Marshall's/TJMaxx for home stuff and they usually have a lot of nice kitchenware-I got quite a bit of red kitchenaid stuff to match my kitchen.

I agree with PP on buying utensils and serving ware at any of the above stores. I used to go to Linens N Things before it went under.

However, goofy appliances like George Foreman's, Automatic Jar Openers, Quesadilla Makers, Popcorn Makers, and on and on are all at Goodwill for $5 or less. Many people receive these as gifts and don't want them. They end up at Goodwill never used or used only once and you pay almost nothing.

QVC and Ikea. QVC actually has a pretty large kitchen assortment, and you can't beat Ikea's prices.

QVC or BB&B. I LOVE to cook and I would rather spend a little more and get quality items because I use them a lot. QVC has some of the coolest items. I'm a kitchen gaget junkie!:lmao:

Do they have a 30% off coupon regularly? How can I get it?

I don't know if this is the policy at all stores, but after Linens N Things went out of business, our BB&B quit taking expired coupons.

There are 2 things that I would buy from Pampered Chef... the garlic press and the pizza cutter. Most anything else I buy at the stores that have already been mentioned.

I usually do kohl's or target. They both sell the oxo brand. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE pampered chef. I would say half my kitchen is pampered chef. It is wonderful stuff, and although a little pricy it's guarenteed!!! Oh and BTW if you need a wonderfull peeler the pampered chef one is THE BEST!!! HTH

I couldn't say for sure, but 4-6 times a year would be my guess. They mail out the coupons, you peel the sticker and get 15%, 20% or 30% off. If you don't get a 30% one in the mail, then you can usually find the code for 30% off on message boards (here on the Budget board, usually.) and just order online rather than going to the store. I think you have to use their charge card to get the discount, so if you're good about paying off your credit card purchases each month, it's worth getting their card. Then you're on the mailing list for the coupons, too.

I've gotten some amazing deals, like my Kitchenaide mixer and my Cuisinart food processor. After all the discounts and sale prices, I got them for less than half retail, plus had them shiped for free, didn't have to lug them home from the store.
