ok, in dec i will be going to beaches & cream to have a "kitchen sink" as i saw on the travel channel. is it worth getting? 2 adults and 2 DD(both age 9). also how has good pictures of the kitchen sink? thanks

We had it this last Sat. with friends. There were eight of us and we did not finish it all. That's including kids having thirds.

We experienced "the kitchen sink" on a past trip and it was so yummy! All the ice cream and yummy treats are the perfect end to a long day!
We had 5 adults and 1 child and didn't finish it all! But it was worth it just to have it delivered to our table- - they blink the lights, yell and celebrate your dish arriving at your table!
It was a one time experience that we always remember-
ENJOY YOUR TRIP!

It really seems to depend on who is eating the kitchen sink as to whether you can finish it or not. There have been 2 adults finish it with no problem and then there have been up to 10 people who can't finish it. It is always worth the try and a fun experience to enjoy.

Make sure not to tell your kids about it and order it on the sly. The look on their faces when it is delivered will be priceless. Make sure to have your camera ready.

We had 3 adults and 3 kids. We did not finish it, but it was so worth it. The kids still talk about going back down to get a kitchen sink.

:cool1: It is a must try once experience. We had our twin 7yr olds and Us and nearly 2 year old and we couldn't seem to make a dent in it. It's ginormous. Everyone claps and yells when they serve it to you. It's a riot.

There is a pic of this dessert in my signature!

We tried with 4 adults, but did not finish it. I have finished it before with 9 adult females.

With the four of us (at last November's prices), the individual sundeas were about $6 each, and the Kitchen Sink was $22, so it was just a bit less expensive for the whole thing, even though we knew we wouldn't finish it.

A slight word of warning - you must like multiple flavors touching - you will get a bite of chocolate ice cream, strawberry, marshmellow, mint topping and nuts all at once (and many other combinations). Just wanted to point that out because it bugs some people.

The experience is worth the cost, IMHO. Enjoy!

We've ordered the kitchen sink two times. The first time we finished it in...I wish I was joking cuz it was kinda gross...about 10 minutes with 2 adults and 5 teenage/older children. The second time was with 4 adults and 2 kids, age 10 and 13, and we were not as successful.

They bring you bowls and spoons for everyone and it is lots of fun when they turn down the lights and everyone cheers for it.

We tried it last June - 2 adults and 3 kids (well my 13 year old perhaps qualifies as 2 adults - LOL) and we actually DID finish! :rolleyes1 I think having my 13 year old son there helped out tremendously -- and we actually ordered if as our dinner entree! :earboy2:

Where do you get this???? I'm already planning for next June and want to make sure and get this on my agenda!!!!

Just curious, has anyone ever tried to order it with modifications? I can't stand coffee ice cream but like all the rest, will they do that sort of thing, leave off something that people really don't like?

Yes, you can have them leave out one of the flavors of ice cream (really they substitue scoops of something else). We asked that they not put coffee ice cream in the kitchen sink that the children were eatting. We ordered 2 kitchen sinks in July of last year. One was for 6 adults and one was for 4 children. Note: The kitchen sink "was" our dinner. We had no problem finishing both kitchen sinks -- and fairly quickly too. By the way, this same group of 10 is going back in August of next year. Everybody is already talking about the next Kitchen Sink.

My kids really wanted to get it but when the CM made her annoucement as she brought it out to others she would she "we have 5 little piggies here...." was too embarrassing for me!

Can you get it with the dining plan?

Most places won't let you get a smoothie anymore on the plan so I doubt the KS is included.

We did order the Kitchen Sink once. It was great fun but I am in the minority as I thought the other sundaes were better in taste. The No Way Jose & Mud Slide beat the Kitchen Sink for flavor hands down. Have fun. :goodvibes
