Kitchen Sink - Worth It?

We just did it this past week and loved it!!!!! My kids thought it was great! We all had fun getting it. I think it will become a new tradition of ours.

For the price it is a good value compared to getting 4 or more people their own sundaes. I was surprised it wasn't more expensive. In addition your get a fun experience, great pictures and memories. We loved it. There were 6 of us and it was gone so fast, two were teenage boys, and we were all over full. Surprisingly the kid who really didn't want to participate ended up with his paw around the base pulling it to him so he didn't have to share.

We would all do it again!

We're thinking of doing this during our next trip, any suggestions about good times to do it?

Thanks. We are planning on doing it in August. I am fairly healthly and don't give my kids much junk food. We watched the blog on this and my girls and DH really want to try it.

Is the Kitchen Sink at Beaches & Cream worth trying?:confused3

While I've never done it, i can't imagine that it wouldn't be worth it for the experience alone. We're doing the DxDDP next time, so I can't imagine having enough room in our stomaches left to try this, but I'd sure love to. Maybe we can do it late one night after an early dinner...Something to think about.

Definitely!!!
We did it in 2009- for LUNCH, lol. My kids loved it. They loved how the lights dimmed and everyone in the restaurant turned to look at us when they brought it out.
They still talk about it and can't wait for our next trip to have it again, lol.

Since B&C is very very tiny and only takes walk ups, I recommend going for opening or at off dining times to avoid lengthy waits. You still may have to wait, but usually its not too bad right at opening.

If you are in the mood for ice cream... then, I'd have to say, NO ! :confused3
But if you are in the mood for and "Unexpected Adventure In the World of Frozen Confection", then, by all means, YES, YES, YES ! :lmao:
I (and my family) have never had so much "fun with food" in all our lives ! If you have the opportunity, DO IT ! :thumbsup2 :wizard:
And by-the-way, the ice cream is delicious ! :rotfl:

We tried it in 2009 for lunch as well :thumbsup2 It's was DS's 10th Birthday and that was his "cake" and mom's justification for allowing icecream @ lunch :lmao: It was brilliant!

We also saw the blog and immediately knew we had to try it. There will be 3 adults and 5 kids and I don't know how much of it we will eat, but it sure looks likes it will be fun trying. We will be there in August also.

We did it in October 2004 and will be hopefully doing it again in August. My DD's 17 & 14 are ice cream fanatics. I remember calling the milkyway out of it. I would definetly try it once.

We did this for lunch (we ordered the kitchen sink and a side of fries) on our last day. We were worried about crowds, so we got there right at opening. There was only one other couple there, but they still did the whole grand presentation. We surprised our kids, and they LOVED it. DS4 barely touched his ice cream, but he has already said that we have to go back next time.

What's in it: Our server explained that before they even put the ice cream in, they coat the dish with hot peanut butter sauce and hot fudge sauce. Then they add 8 scoops of ice cream (2 each of vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and 1 each of coffee and mint choc. chip) We don't like coffee so we substituted mint choc. chip. On top of that goes marshmallow sauce, strawberry sauce, pineapple topping and every other topping in the shop (butterscotch chips, oreo cookies, gummy candies, bananas, chunks of candy bars, brownies, angel food cake and a whole can of whipped cream. Top that with about 50 marachino cherries.

Our server also said that if you want to finish it before it becomes a soupy mess, you need to scoop it out into individual bowls because the hot toppings in the sink starts to melt the ice cream fast.

It was a great way to end our trip, and we'll definitely be back next time.

You've got to do it at least once!! We've done it twice, and my DD13 was reading over my shoulder and told me that we need to do it again since its been 2 or 3 years since we did it last time! A word of advice - if you want to finish it, SKIP the meal and go straight to the kitchen sink!! :)
