kitchen sink for 1 guy- we witnessed it!!!

We plan on getting the Kitchen Sink in December! There is a video of Beaches & Cream and the Kitchen Sink on The Travel Channel's website. It was featured on one of Samantha Brown's inside WDW shows. Here is the link to the Travel Channel video player. It has an advertisement that you have to sit thru first, and then you can choose between 5 WDW videos. The Kitchen Sink is the third one down on the list. It sure looks like a lot of ice cream!!!

doesn't really sound like that much, BUT when I went out last time for ice cream I got a banana split with three scoops and three or four toppings, and had to share it with my kids (and I'm a big eater)

It's like 20 scoops of ice cream -- it is a LOT.

This is a must for us every trip - something that the kids really look forward to!

Sorry, there are no ADR's at Beaches. You just have to get on the waiting list with the rest of the masses.

I've never heard about getting the Kitchen Sink for free if you eat it all by yourself. That's incredible! :beach:

We heard the guy at the counter tell someone that, when we were there a couple of weeks ago. He said you have to eat it alone, in 30 minutes, and it's free. YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't imagine.

They brought out 3 when we were there, and the 1 table of 4 polished their's off in about 20 minutes, and we were amazed. Can't imaging seeing someone eat the whoe thing solo LOL.

It looks good, but not good enuf to eat by myself. I bet if I starved DH for a day he would polish it off in 30 mins...he is a fast eater!

OMG, that thing is huge. My dh said he could do it, but not in 30 minutes. I don't think I could even starved.

"Professional stunt eater -- do not attempt"

Seriously, overeating at this level requires training. You can't just eat a Kitchen Sink without proper training any more than you could run a marathon without proper training. :rotfl2:

Well, I'm training for the WDW half-marathon in January. Maybe I could start training for the Kitchen Sink too. I'll build up slowly, just like I'm doing for the half-marathon. I just had two scoops of ice cream, so I'm on my way! :thumbsup2

Wow! I can't believe you could eat a kitchen sink by yourself, especially in 30 min.! I didn't know you could get it free if you ate one in 30 min. by yourself. I like ice cream but not that much!

DH really thinks he can do this  we will be getting one for us all to share, but there is no way i am letting him attempt that! then i am stuck with him complaining the rest of the night!! :sad2:

Hmmm, i couldn't & wouldn't want to try eating one, even with a family of 5, but I have a girlfriend who I swear could polish one of these off by herself, no problem. She's 5'4" weighs in at about 120 when wet and has been known to serve icecream for dinner to her family. :rotfl: everyone has their own half gallon container and nobody had better touch hers! :)

Ugh.. that doesn't even look appetizing at all. I think the killer is the tons of toppings all mixed together (gross!) and the entire can of whipped cream (that's just unholy... but then again, I HATE whipped cream with a passion).

I'll just take one of the vanilla scoops and a mint chip scoop and call it a day. ;)

Anybody know how late Beaches & Cream is open? Would 407-WDW-DINE know? We're going to the Cape May Cafe for dinner but heading over for a kitchen sink might be fun afterwards...

I think the Kitchen sink looks yummy and nice when it's first served but every picture I've seen of it half melted and soupy with all of the chunks of toppings floating around in it makes it look so disgusting. Just give me the whole can of whipped cream they put on it! I'll just eat that! :goodvibes I love whipped cream. I'll probably never get to try the Kitchen Sink as I have issues with everyone licking and eating on spoons and then getting more, kind of like double dipping (even my own family). :crazy2: I'll just stick with eating a No Way Jose by myself! :thumbsup2

I'm pretty sure they're open until 11 p.m.
